I got this to replace my "Trash Bowl" I use when cooking. I normally have a bowl just to throw the egg shells or vegetable discards. Got this for use in our small Class C RV. It works well where it's located, but there wasn't enough clearance between the cabinet and the countertop to fit the rear mounting lip so we mounted it on a drawer. Convenient item that used standard plastic grocery bags.
Just added this because finally we can add food scraps to recycling. I’ve always saved and tossed to wildlife but having this is wonderful. Hangs on drawer added compostable bag and poof ready to go. Folds up flat against cabinet when not using. I love it.

For years I kept a small, countertop trash can, the type used in coffee shops, on top of my kitchen counter. I lined it with produce bags used that I would keep after I removed the produce from the store. I would throw away peels, bones and other food items that I'd bag up and throw in the trash.
